Ants work in a very methodical fashion. They quickly set up colonies where there is plentiful supply of food and water, and this colony is headed by a queen whose only purpose is to breed many ants. They send out scouts to look for food, and when the scout has located that slice of pizza that you left out on the counter, it quickly goes back and reports it to other members of the colony. After this, depending on the species, you will either see an entire colony of ants all moving towards the food in an orderly manner, or you may see a few random ants making their way to the food. Either way, the ant is following a scent trail that has been laid by the scout. When you find a few ants running about, don't assume that there are only a few -- the rest of them are back at the colony hard at work!

There may be no squirrels in the house now but they will come in in the fall. We don't hear any in the house now. They will eat their way in the house between the ceiling of the second floor and the floor of the third floor. Want to have the hole closed up so they can't get in any more. You can see the entrance point from the ground. Thank you. |
I have a problem with ants here at my business. I have tried all sorts of treatments, bombs, sprays, chemicals around the whole exterior of the building ... but still the ants find the transmission fluid in the parts room and they still get into the cream and sugar by the coffee machine. I am looking for someone that can come out and remove the ants for good. Please let me know if you can help me. Thanks, |
